Community Event & Raffle Draw

Thank-you to all our members and partners who supported our HBNW raffle and community event. It was a fun day where lots of information was shared.

We are very grateful to the safety and security heroes from FidelityADT, Deep Blue, Coastal Guarding Solutions, CCP, Verifier, Omnivision, Metro, HBVEMS, Hout Bay Fire and Rescue and NSRI who supported us.

Our community event was a fun day and offered a platform for residents and their children to learn about a variety of safety and security topics/products available in Hout Bay.

Our Program for the day included the following:

Introducing the newly appointed Hout Bay Tourism Monitors who will be part of our Beach Safety Project
Face painting and balloons for the children sponsored by Fidelity ADT
A very entertaining demonstration by the Dog Unit of Metro Police
A Hout Bay Fire and Rescue display
Learning about NSRI Hout Bay
A CPR Demo by HBVEMS
Speech by Aldernam JP Smith

Thanks also to Anthea Leppington from Naka Catering for the egg and bacon / boerewors rolls. And to Simon from SuperSpar for sponsoring the bread rolls and discounting the boerewors. Also to Dario's for bringing their Cafe Mobile for coffee and croissants.

Our HBNW raffle raised close to R30,000! Over 30 wonderful businesses in Hout Bay supported the raffle.

Funds raised from the raffle and event will be used towards our ongoing camera projects, much needed equipment, our radio project and the upcoming annual beach safety project.

The draw took place at our event. Winners were notified by email and/or phone. If anyone would like a list of the winners please email admin@hbnw.co.za
